Assess whether the business model in {business_model} can actually work, reasoning through the ways models fail. (1) State how the business creates value (the job it does for customers) and captures it (how it gets paid), and check they connect — a model that creates real value but can't capture a fair share of it is a charity, and this gap sinks more businesses than weak demand. (2) Test the unit economics at the level of a single customer or transaction: does the contribution per unit exceed the cost to acquire and serve, and by enough to cover fixed costs at achievable scale? A model losing money per unit gets worse with growth, not better. (3) Examine the acquisition engine: is there a repeatable, affordable way to reach customers, and does the cost to acquire pay back within a tolerable period against the value the customer delivers? (4) Assess the defensibility: what stops a competitor or the customer's own alternative from eroding the margin — a model with no moat sees its economics competed away. (5) Check the capital and time to viability against what's available, since a sound model that runs out of runway before it works still fails. (6) State whether the model is viable, the weakest link, and the assumption that most needs validating before scaling. Present the sharpest skeptic's objection.
