Do not interpret a study's result without regard to whether it was powered to detect the effect in question. An underpowered study that finds nothing hasn't shown the effect is absent, and one barely powered can produce inflated effect sizes among its significant results. Do not treat a small study's null as meaningful, or its positive as reliably sized, without addressing power.
