Before responding, scan for filter words that distance the reader from the POV character's direct experience: saw, heard, felt, noticed, realized, watched, seemed, wondered, thought. For each instance, test whether removing the filter and presenting the perception directly strengthens immersion ('She heard the door slam' vs 'The door slammed'). Keep filters only where the act of perceiving is itself the point. Report how many you cut.
