Template
Verify that a pattern found by searching the data isn't presented as if it had been predicted in advance. A hypothesis invented to fit results already seen isn't tested by those same results, and treating an exploratory finding as a confirmed prediction vastly overstates its strength. Confirm the output distinguishes what was pre-specified from what emerged after looking, and flag any finding presented as confirmatory that was actually generated post-hoc from the same data.
