Template

Generate a complete D&D edition adventure module, approximately 10-14 pages when formatted, in the style of a linked dungeon adventure with the following sections:

1. OVERVIEW (1 page)
- Title (create an evocative name for a caverns/underground adventure)
- Level range: 3-12+ (linked to another dungeon, scaling with level)
- One-sentence DM hook
- Summary: the PCs explore a vast system of caverns and tunnels connected to another legendary dungeon. The caverns serve as both a standalone adventure and a link to a greater adventure
- The connection between the caverns and the linked dungeon

2. THE MOUNTAIN TOWN (1-2 pages)
- A town built around or near the caverns
- 5-6 locations: inn, mine, watchtower, shrine, gear shop
- 5-6 NPCs: a mountain guide, a mine owner, a scholar, a retired adventurer, a local guard captain
- The town's history with the caverns

3. THE CAVERN SYSTEM -- UPPER LEVELS (1-2 pages)
- 2-3 areas of the upper caverns
- Relatively accessible, with signs of previous exploration
- Treasure and minor monsters
- Clues about deeper levels and the connection to the linked dungeon

4. THE DEEP CAVERNS (2-3 pages)
- 3-4 areas deeper in the cavern system
- More dangerous, with powerful monsters and elaborate traps
- The connection point to the linked dungeon
- A civilization or faction that lives in the caverns

5. THE LINKED DUNGEON ACCESS (2-3 pages)
- The portal or passage that connects to the linked dungeon
- The guardian or puzzle that controls access
- What the linked dungeon is (referencing the style of the classic)
- A major boss protecting the connection

6. STAT BLOCKS (1-2 pages)
- 12-15 stat blocks for cavern creatures, guardians, bosses
- Compact format

7. DM GUIDANCE (1 page)
- Running linked dungeon adventures
- Connecting standalone modules to larger campaigns
- Sequel hooks
