Diagnose the underperforming marketing campaign in {campaign_context} by isolating where the funnel actually breaks. (1) Reconstruct the full funnel with numbers: impressions to clicks to leads to conversions to revenue, computing the conversion rate at each stage — because "the campaign isn't working" is not actionable until you know which stage is failing, and the failing stage points to a completely different fix. (2) Compare each stage's rate to a benchmark or to past performance to localize the break: weak top-of-funnel (targeting or creative reaching the wrong people or not stopping them), weak middle (the message or offer isn't compelling the interested), or weak bottom (the landing experience or product-message match fails the ready-to-buy). (3) Resist the reflex to blame the most visible metric; a low overall conversion often traces to one specific broken stage, and pouring more spend into a campaign with a broken mid-funnel just buys more expensive failures. (4) Check the audience-message-offer fit: is the campaign reaching the right segment with a message that matches their actual problem? Mismatch here starves every downstream stage. (5) Separate a signal problem (too little data to judge) from a real performance problem. (6) State where the funnel breaks, the likely cause, the highest-leverage fix, and what test would confirm it before reallocating budget.
