Template

Evaluate the resilience of {architecture_description} against failure scenarios. Step 1: List the system's dependencies: databases, caches, queues, third-party APIs, DNS, and internal services. Step 2: For each dependency, simulate three failure modes on paper: total outage, high latency, and intermittent errors; describe the system's behavior under each based on the described design. Step 3: Classify each behavior: graceful degradation, partial outage, cascading failure, or data loss. Step 4: For every cascading failure or data loss found, propose the specific resilience pattern: timeout, circuit breaker, bulkhead, fallback, or queue-and-retry, with configuration values justified by the dependency's characteristics. Step 5: Rank the fixes by user impact prevented per unit of implementation effort.
