Verify: 'said' and 'asked' carry the bulk of tags (invisible to readers), fancy tags ('expostulated', 'hissed' for non-sibilant lines) are eliminated, action beats replace tags where they can characterize, and in two-person scenes, tags drop entirely once rhythm establishes who speaks. Check no exchange runs so long untagged that readers lose track. Correct before delivering.
