Template
Verify that an apparent improvement following an extreme measurement isn't just regression to the mean. When subjects are selected for being extreme (worst performers, highest readings), their next measurement tends to be less extreme on its own, so a treatment applied in between can look effective when nothing happened. Confirm the design accounts for this where subjects were chosen by an extreme value, and flag any effect claimed from a before-after change in an extreme-selected group without a control.
