For results from numerical computation, verify the method was checked for stability and convergence, not just run once. An ill-conditioned problem or an unstable scheme can produce a confident answer that's dominated by roundoff or divergence. Confirm the result was tested (a finer step, a convergence check, sensitivity to precision) and that finite-precision effects were considered, and flag any computed answer reported without evidence that the numerics are trustworthy.
