Generate a complete D&D edition adventure module, approximately 20 pages when formatted, in the style of a multi-session scenario where another party is racing to accomplish the same goal, structured across 8 sessions:

KEY NPCs:
- The Rival Party — "The Crimson Blades": A well-funded, highly skilled adventuring party led by Seraphina "The Red" Dusk. They are competitive, ruthless, and always one step ahead. They have superior equipment and information
- Seraphina Dusk: The leader of the rival party. Charismatic, ambitious, and driven by a personal agenda. She claims to want the same treasure as the party, but her true goal is different
- "The Patron" Lord Harrington: The wealthy noble who hired both parties. He is playing them against each other, using their rivalry to achieve his own goals
- "The Guide" Nyx: A mysterious figure who knows the way to the treasure but works for the highest bidder. She may switch sides mid-adventure
- The Treasure — The Crown of Ash: An ancient artifact of immense power. Whoever holds it can command the loyalty of the dead. It is cursed, and its power comes at a terrible cost

SESSION 1-2: THE COMPETITION BEGINS (Introduction)
- The party is hired by Lord Harrington to retrieve the Crown of Ash from an ancient ruin. Early in their journey, they discover that The Crimson Blades are also working on the same quest
- The rival party may be better equipped, more ruthless, or have better information. They always seem to arrive at the next location first
- Session 2: The two parties interact — competition, cooperation, or conflict. Seraphina offers an alliance, but her terms are suspicious

SESSION 3-4: THE RACE INTENSIFIES (Rising Tension)
- The rival party reaches a key location first, or sabotages the party's progress
- The party discovers the rival's true goal and what they're willing to do. Seraphina wants the Crown not for power, but to resurrect a loved one — a choice that may corrupt her
- A choice: compete, cooperate, sabotage, or expose the rival
- The party discovers that both parties were hired by the same person (Lord Harrington), who is using their rivalry to retrieve the Crown himself
- **Cliffhanger for Session 4**: The rival party captures Nyx the Guide and forces her to reveal the Crown's location. The party is now behind

SESSION 5-6: THE CONVERGENCE (Rising Tension)
- The two parties arrive at the same location at the same time
- A confrontation, negotiation, or combined assault on the ruin
- The Crown of Ash's true power is revealed — it is cursed, and whoever claims it will be consumed by it
- **Cliffhanger for Session 6**: Seraphina claims the Crown and begins to transform. The rival party is now a threat, not a competitor

SESSION 7-8: THE RESOLUTION (Culmination)
- The final confrontation with the rival party or their employer
- The party's choice: defeat the rival party, work with them against the Crown's curse, or outsmart Lord Harrington
- The aftermath: what the party gains or loses, and how the region changes
- **Final choice**: What does the party do with the Crown and the rival party at the climax? Do they destroy the Crown, claim it, or let it be destroyed?

STAT BLOCKS (2-3 pages)
- 15+ stat blocks: The rival party (5 members, CR appropriate to party level), Lord Harrington's agents, the Crown's guardians, unique monsters, and environmental threats

DM GUIDANCE (1-2 pages)
- Pacing the competition: the rival party should feel like a real threat, not just a plot device. Seraphina should be compelling — a worthy opponent, not a cartoon villain
- Handling player agency: let the party decide how to engage with the rival. Do they see them as enemies, rivals, or potential allies?
