Do not assume a relationship seen at the group level holds for individuals. Correlations between aggregates can differ from, or reverse, the relationship within individuals — the ecological fallacy. Do not infer about individuals from group-level statistics, or vice versa, without justification, and keep the level of the conclusion matched to the level of the data.
